In a nation so rich in culture but whose heritage is threatened through modernity, celebrating culture is perhaps the only way to safe guard the same. Spend the day learning about the Kenya’s rich cultural diversity at the Bomas of Kenya, then head to the kazuri beads and later visit the Matbronze wildlife art and finish your tour at the Maasai market.

The tour starts with a visit of the Kazuri beads which is located on mbagathi rigde, Karen in Nairobi, Kenya KAZURI, which means “small and beautiful” in Swahili, begani in 1975 as a tiny workshop experimenting on making handmade beads. The factory is located in what used to be part of the Karen Blixen Estate (of the Academy Award winning film "Out of Africa" fame.) They have further applied our knowledge of ceramics and the artistic flair that has made our necklaces so attractive, in the design and production of our own unique range of pottery-ware, which reflects the culture and wildlife of Kenya. Each piece is hand made and hand painted in rich colors and our range is extensive from individual collector pieces to dinnerware.

Then continue on to visit the Matbronze which is situated in the historical suburb of Karen, at the foot of the Ngong Hills. The foundry with attached gallery displays over six hundred bronzes - from double life size Crowned Cranes to the daintiest of Sunbirds, from an eight foot Crocodile to Cuff links for men.Recently Matbronze opened a coffee bar and cafe you can now enjoy the art, and relax with refreshments in the gardens.

The next destination is the Bomas of Kenya where different aspects of Kenyan culture are displayed including living styles, crafts, music and dancing. Conclude your tour with a visit to the maasai market which is located in different locations each day of the week, and then head back to your hotel.
